So i went to Andrew Bird's show last night.
It was super last minute!
Because michelle rang me the night before and asked me if i wanted to go, and i was like omgyes.

Well what can i say..
He was FREAKIN AMAZING.
And that, is an understatement.
It was seriously 1 and a half hours of pure audiogasm.

In case you don't know, Andrew Bird is a one-man band.
He plays with violins, guitars, xylophones and a loop machine.

I really wanted him to play Plasticities though :/

Uhm hello!
I believe this is the first post i've ever made on this blog that has ever gone past the godly hour of 12am.
In case you guys don't know, i have an internet curfew.
Yes, A FREAKIN INTERNET CURFEW.
It sounds dumb and retarded but my parents imposed this curfew in order for me to get off the internet and get more sleep.
But obviously it doesn't really work because the internet isn't the only form of entertainment for me in my room.
There are also lots of other things i can do.

Today i went to school and i totally screwed up my CMA paper.
Like majorly, royally screwed it up.
There was this one question which asked something like, why do you think Company A should choose the special order?
And i replied, because it is a good deal duh ;)
Yes, with that winky smiley behind.
I also got so bored with the paper that i started folding origami balls and boats.
Speaking of origami, did you know that there are many types of interesting things you can fold with origami!
Awhile ago, i was walking home from school and it was really random but i spotted this piece of paper on the ground and upon staring at it for a few seconds, i realised that it was in the shape of a penis!
So i went home and googled "How To Fold Origami Penis"
And i got this video showing me how to fold it!
It was fantastic and the paper penis could even fap!

There's this bit of skin above my lip which is really irritating me right now.

Ok so i'm in a bit of a hair dilemma right now.
Cause awhile back, i shaved the right side of my head.

And this is what i got, a small bit of the right side of my head shaved.

Its not really that cool though when it starts growing out.
Like today i was really depressed.
Cause this morning i woke up with a bad hair day.
And normally what happens when i have a bad hair day is to tie my hair up in a bun.
So i proceeded to do that.
But guess what!!
I forgot that the right side of my head was bald.
And with my hair all tied up,
I just looked like a complete freak who accidentally ran the shaver across the side of her head.
So yeah, that was pretty depressing.

Nice move, Kxy, nice move.
So right now, i'm torn between the decision to shave off a larger surface area of my hair which would go down my ears.
Or, to grow my shaved hair out.

You know i have this really weird thing for marmite.
I'm totally obsessed with it.
I am also obsessed with essence of chicken.
And i discovered this really genius trick.
What do you do when you want to drink essence of chicken but you are too poor to afford it?
You mix a spoonful of marmite with warm water!
And you stir and stir and stir
Till you get this brown mixture of Marmite soup!
Drink it, I DID. (tabby reference here)
It magically tastes just like the essence of chicken!
Probably not a 100% match, but i daresay its about a 75% match!

Ever since i discovered this trick, i've been making marmite soup alot.
Best stuff ever.
But if there's one thing that doesn't blend well with marmite
It would be bananas.
I tried eating marmite spread on banana on a dare before,
and it was just god awful.

Bananas + Marmite = Pure Evil

I just made a very alarming discovery on barnacles.
I DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE FREAKIN' LIVING THINGS.
I'd always thought they were masses of dirt accumulated from the sea.
Hahaha!
And i went on Wikipedia to read up more on barnacles and i came across a very interesting section, about their sexual reproduction:

I've been studying quite a bit lately, that's what i've been doing.

Today was the first day of tutorial week!
I got to see who were in my classes.
I guess my classes ain't that bad, at least i wasn't some lonerxfreak like last term.
My entrepreneurship teacher is freakin hilarious.
I just realised that in the whole of my poly life i haven't once gotten a teacher that was the least bit humorous.
So this is refreshing!

Anyway what is NOT refreshing is the FUGGING WEATHER.
It is so scorchingly hot that i can't even stand walking home anymore, seriously
I just busted 3 bucks on cabbing back home from the bus stop.
I'm willing to waste 15 bucks on cabfare every week.
Anything to spare me from walking in this heat!

I love this shirt even though i'm not a big fan of August Burns Red.
It's too hardcore for me, i'm an indie kid.
LOL i'm just kidding obv.
But this shirt was too awesome to pass up!

Oh, i also got a new haircut.
Alot of people LOL-ed @ me today.
Honestly is it that bad!?
I'm thinking of getting extensions though, to thicken my hair.
I really hate the ends of my hair now, they're all wispy and shit.

So i'm blogging cause i'm really bored and i am stuck at home with nothing to do.
My grandfather died yesterday morning at 3:15am
Its cool though, i don't need any of the "my condolences" or "i'm so sorry" that people usually say, cause i'm fine really.
In my entire life, i don't actually remember a single conversation i ever had with my grandfather because i think there were none.
But seeing him laying on the hospital bed that night with all those tubes attached to him was kind of emotional, and i couldn't help but cry.

Ok this is getting a little too ~dark~

So anyway on a lighter note, (or maybe not that light) school's starting tommorow.
I'll be split into a million classes, but thankfully i know a person or 2 in each class.
But still..
I'm not looking forward to it.

Oh what i'd give to get out of this place.
What i want to do is live in a caravan far away, with my soulmate and we'd travel to different towns and busk for a living.
We'd make friends with everyone in the world and it will be such a wonderful time.

Today work was fun.
Because there wasn't much to do.
I mainly played songs for customers and changed guitar strings.
I also had a jamming session with Terry

HI EVERYONE.
OK so i've decided to get my ass back to blogging.
Cause i don't want to disappoint anybody, i don't want to be brutally murdered.
Anyway, reason why i haven't been blogging's cause i've been busy, and my days are pretty boring with internship and all.
Alright, those are just stupid excuses.
The main reason is because alot of people read my blog, and i feel uneasy with that.
Because this means i won't get to speak my mind and how i truly feel, and i don't want certain people to know about certain secretive stuff.
But that's okay, from now on i'm just gonna blog on like, superficial stuff.
Nothing too deep or thoughtful.
(Not like i've always been deep or anything lol)

Today i went to the dentist.
It was my first time going to the dentist alone!
I usually always go with my mom haha.
Makes me feel like a big girl.
Anyway, the doctor was super rough with my mouth.
He kept jabbing sharp things into my gums and by the end of it, my gums were left swollen and bleeding.
Throughout the whole cleaning process i was just like, FFFFUUU
Never going back there again! >:(
I also have to extract my wisdom tooth.
And i'm not exactly looking forward to that cause i'd have a chipmunk face after that for a week.
But the plus point is that i would have one week off school!
And the down point is that i would miss out alot on schoolwork.
Not that i actually care about schoolwork in the first place, heh.

Anyway you guys haven't missed out much on my life.
I've just been working alot, and going to the movies alot and spending alot of money.
Oh, i've also been hooked onto the series Skins.
I don't know why i haven't watched it earlier!

Class ended early today, and me and daph were supposed to go jam for our teeny performance on sunday.
But obv, things didnt get done.
Haha she and peh came to my crib.
And they all started eating so much as if the food at my house was free LOL
Cup noodles, grilled cheese sandwiches, 4293847 pieces of cheddar cheese, oatmeal and raisin cereal, milk.

Then later on me and daph went to meet kd at orchard ion.
Oh yea orchard ion is amaazing.
So many shops all under one roof!
And the place is so cool and elaborate and.. complicated.
But still duuper cool.
The foodcourt there was super cool too!
We kept getting amazed at all the things in it except the food haha.

Anyways, the down point of Orchard Ion is that everywhere is so fugging crowded and there were no seats for us!
So we proceeded to far east to find food.
We walked around for half an hour, up and down, and we decided that nothing there was worth eating.
So we decided to go to IKEA which was the original place we wanted to go to earlier.

It was hella tough trying to flag a cab!
But finally this taxi uncle with no morals stopped for us, despite us flagging for it next to a taxi stand hahah

After dinner, we were walking around ikea and i came up with this brilliant idea to put random objects into unsuspecting victims' trolleys >:B
We got caught by this person though, cause we were acting so suspiciously lol.

Hello i'm sorry for neglecting my blog.
Blame Twitter, not me!

Today i had art class.
Thursday is my favourite day of the week because i start school at 1pm!
Art is stressful though, we have so many assignments to do!
I joined art thinking it was all about fun stuff like drawing.
In the end, we do shit like body casting, wire sculpting, clay sculpting.
All the things im bad at.
Anyways, i realised i havent been posting quite alot of picture because i'm lazy.

Me and Rachel went to cold storage because we were carrying a whole load of shit and we were really warm.
So cold storage is the solution!
Because its air conditioned and we can dump all our stuff into trolleys haha.

I had so many dreams last night.
I wonder if i'm ever truly resting at all, seeing as i have so many dreams in my sleep!
I dreamt that all my teeth were falling out, and i could actually feel the holes in my gums after the teeth fell out.
I hate these kind of dreams and i have them so often, i think to psychologists it means something bad.

Oh and i had another dream which was retarded.
I dreamt me and daph went on a vacation at malaysia.
And the things there were ridiculously cheap.
But i dont know why of all things, we decided to steal this huge smelly trashcan.

Then my mom woke me up.

I lost my laptop

Yeah so you've probably heard about it by now.
I can't believe i seriously lost my laptop.
This must've been about the 6th time or something.
But this is the first time i've never gotten it back.
I. Feel. So. Empty.
It feels like there's this big part of my life thats just disappeared into thin air.
Right now i can honestly say that my online life is almost as important to me as my social life.
Without either one, i will literally die!

This is kind of exciting, i've always been wanting to get a mac.

Losing my fujitsu might actually have been a blessing in disguise.

Oh by the way, i just finished writing a song.
It took me about a day!
What an improvement from my previous song which took me MONTHS, haha no lie.
Its not as catchy as Yours To Keep, but it'll do i think.
In my opinion, its better lyrically.
Its about ~hope~

Last night's gig was immense.
Probably one of the best ones i've been too.
Great crowd, great bands, great atmosphere.
We caught IKK, AVA and some other band that idk.

But one thing that wasnt so good was that we stood right at the front, and at the edge of the moshpit.
So people kept bodysurfing/landing on me which was quite annoying.
The human catapult thing was Horror!
Me and camy got hit in the head quite a number of times and it hurt

It was fun though haha

Maybe i'll upload the rest of the pictures on facebook, when i'm feeling a little less lazy.

Ok anyway, on another note completely off topic,I played a set at school today.
I felt it was one of my better performances.
It wasn't great, but it was better than okay.
And i always did slightly worse than okay.
I played Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley and i learnt it just the previous night.
Because i came across this YouTube video and was inspired by this girl:

She's just awesome on so many levels.
I like how she makes it seem so carelessly effortless.
Her face is pretty nice to look at too.

SIGH school starts tommorow.

Hello homework, projects, late nights, stress, exam results, major exams, etc.

Anyway, me and daph played at ben and jerry's for the first time yesterday!
Well technically, we've played there once but that was just the auditions.
So yesterday was our first actual performance there.
It went pretty well.
Didn't have any major screw ups.

But i must say that b&j's is one helluva stingy ass company.
When we signed the contract saying that we would play there,
they said that we wouldn't be paid but we would be entitled to free ice cream and exposure.
And i was totally fine with that.
So yeah, we got the exposure but where's the frigging ice cream!?
I even asked the guy scooper if i could get a scoop of free ice cream as i was a performer
And he flatly said NO.
Just. Like. That.
Don't think i'll be playing there anymore.
I might, but idk.

Well anyway this rich kid just messaged me on YouTube and he asked me and daph to perform at his party for an undisclosed amount of money.
Suck on that b&j's!

I guess i'm just sore about not getting my free scoop.

Something really weird/interesting/funny happened to me today.
This malay kid and his 2 friends rang up my doorbell and asked me to sign his capo.
LOL this is definitely the first time someone has ever asked for my autograph.
Hahaha tbh i feel kind of honoured but a little creeped out at the same time because people know where i stay.
Which only means one thing - I'VE BEEN STALKED (god knows how many times)

Anywayz, i signed it and he left.
Then later on after an hour or something, i found this letter in my mailbox, with the capo i signed on it.

Ew, pictures organizing fail.

Anyway yesterday's gig went pretty fine.
Although there were many impromptu things that happened.
Like how i had to change my entire songlist last minute, because the sax manager wanted more "upbeat" songs.
And how daph spontaneously harmonized with me on my songs.

We were also given lots of free food!

Monday
Gig at The Arena.
This is me looking all cool.
I don't know if i can say it was a success, cause i screwed up alot with my lyrics.

Tuesday
Met up with Ashley! together with the whole group.
We had dinner at pizzahut, and i just realised i haven't paid for dinner yet :O
After which, we went to Mustafa Centre.
I've never been to that place before, and it was definitely an eye opener.

Wednesday
That day was a really screwed up day because everyone suddenly needed me to go out with them.
I had to acc rachel to book her chalet at sentosa, and i had to acc michelle to go collect her poster (which didnt happen in the end) and i had to watch movie with ws.
But surprisingly, i managed to cram everything into a day!

Thursday
Today daph came over to have a little acoustic jam for our gig on the 27th.
I had a little trouble playing Hello I'm In Delaware, haha gotta hone my guitar skillz
And she ended up falling asleep on my bed, cuiii.
I think my bed is the comfiest bed in the world.
It feels like your sleeping on clouds, literally!
MY BED IS GREAT.

Bintan
Oh yes! Not forgetting my weekend getaway at Bintan with my family
It was fugging awesome.
The place was amazing, it was like heaven on earth.
We had our private pool which overlooked the sea.
At night we had the perfect view of all the stars in the sky.
And the stars there are so much brighter and denser than what we see here at singapore.
Everything was really chill, and even though we didnt do much except for swimming and eating and hanging out at the beach, it was really fun in the chillax fun kind of way.
So i'll just throw in a few pictures here.
Cause i hate seeing my blog all clogged up with lots of picture spammage

Music
Yeah! lets talk about music.
Lately i purchased Amateur Takes Control's cd, You Me and the Things Unsaid.
I really like their sound.
It sounds really Explosions In the Sky-ish with a raw edge.
I like bands which are a little unpolished and awkward.
So yeah, you should totally check ATC out. Damn underrated band.

And i also just downloaded a shitload of Margot And The Nuclear So & So's songs.
I used to listen to them alot, but i somehow lost their songs and forgot about them.
Upon listening to them again, i can honestly say they're one of my favourite bands.
Their songs make me feel really safe and cosy and i like that.

Today there was a sale at jelita. Dvds going off at 5 dollars. I bought a dvd and i made payment.
I looked into the plastic bag to check out my great steal.
I wasn't watching where i was going so i accidentally walked onto the escalator that was going up the wrong way.
I didn't even realise i was on the wrong escalator until a few seconds later.
So i kept walking down and the escalator kept going up.
I was stuck.
After a few moments of awkward scrambling, i managed to get out of the wrong escalator.
I quickly ran down the escalator on the correct side.
Everyone on the level witnessed the unfortunate event.
I didn't dare look back, but i'm pretty sure they were all sniggering. FML

Anyways, the lack of updates has been because ive been caught up with mugging for my common tests, which isnt really working at all.
Last minute mugging never works.
I'm totally going to fail everything. Double FML

Phoooooooeee. I had such a long day today!
It was meant to be a short day, but we stayed back after school to complete the damn bcomm project.
And we're almost, ALMOST done with it.

Oh and i just finished AAA tuition.
